What are the mods???

Definitely need a DOHC tranny (3.94 Final Drive Vs. the SOHC 3.55), a Magnum Head (Bigger exhaust ports) and Magnum intake manifold (Variable lenght runners and freer flow) if you are SOHC... Control the variable intake of the Magnum with the VTEC function of a S-AFC Neo or equivalent... This really is the bottleneck of a SOHC Neon... If you are DOHC, Crane Cams 12 is the way to go if your car is a daily driver or crane 16 combined with a 2003 59PSI Fuel Pressure Regulator to prevent lean conditions...

Message to Mike Kojima BTW, Project Neon needs a DOHC Tranny and the aforementionned Magnum head and Intake Manifold!! Plus if you pop the head off, you can install some inexpensive DOHC domed pistons that will increase the compression ratio from 9.8:1 to something like 10.5:1... My DOHC ran 15 flats with only a Mopar PCM, a 55mm Throttle body, intake manifold polishing and a short header... Broke my tranny on powershifts and installed a SOHC tranny filled with Red Line MTL oil... Ran 15.8 15.9 after... The DOHC tranny is a miracle and so is the Magnum head and intake manifold when properly tuned!

I wish you a happy mid to high 14's with these pistons, head and most of all DOHC tranny!
