I've wanted an Acura Integra since roughly 1999 when I first got into tuners. It took me 12 years to find my car soul mate. The story of how I bought this car is kinda funny, at least most people say it is. I've researched the Integra for years, of course I wanted the Type-R, who wouldn't? As the years went on the Integra began to be a mythical creature to me. I couldn't find one anywhere local. Then in 2009 my luck got a bit better, I had the chance for a 1996 GS-R but the car was TORE UP. Needed body work and engine work, and the guy wanted too much for it. After that I started finding them more and more, mainly by private sellers wanting $8000+. Then I found my soul mate on Autotrader.com. Even though it's a GS, don't look down on this beast. I drove up and saw it once and fell in love. Drove it once and nearly cried. Bought it the next day. 6 months have passed since I bought my baby, and the love is still strong. Get people every day wanting to street race, but I'd rather put it on the track.

On the other hand, I have been shunned from the Integra community for my ideas. I'm not gonna do a JDM conversion, that seemed to put some wood on the fire.

The week I bought this car an identical, but GS-R, Integra was stolen. I had put in some fresh, experimental HID's in my car (illegal) so the cops felt that gave them enough authority to run the records. Porkers were sure they had caught the robber, but they were left very unhappy. Since then I've kept my car low key, making sure every step I take and every mile I drive is legal.
